Mundorf Winery Pinot Noir Wine Label

Mundorf Winery is a small home winery based in West Virginia. It was founded by a physicist who had a love for both viticulture and enology. Through many experimentations, Mundorf Winery found a love for dark red wines, with Pinot Noir being their specialty. As they keep growing, expanding, and tasting, their quest for perfecting more wines has just started.
Overview:
Create a wine bottle sticker label for their Pinot Noir wine. The label needs to be bright, colorful, and unique.
Problem:
Lack of label sticker for Pinot Noir wine bottle and a lack of brand awareness for wine type.
Opportunity:
Create a brightly colored wine bottle label sticker for Pinot Noir wine to be placed on bottles.
Design Process:
The client asked for a wine label sticker for their 2022 Pinot Noir wine. They gave a few inspiration pictures that included album covers from The Clash and Iggy Pop. The client allowed creative freedom. I decided to work with the grapes used for wine and add a skeleton twist to the splashing liquid of the image. I added the skeleton heads instead of a few of the grapes and the drips of liquid “wine”. The font was created to match the style of the wine. The goal for the image was for the grapes to look like they were dripping juice and the juice is splashing up around like in a wine glass.
The Final Product:
Client loved the image without the square label best. They were super happy with the vibrant colors and the skeletons inside the grapes!
